GutterWorks has rain gutter, downspout information, and gutter accessories for D-I-Y home repair and the seamless gutter industry.

GutterWorks was started in late 1998. It began in one small building in the East Central Iowa town of Montezuma, but have since moved to larger facilities in Barnes City, Iowa.

The business originated with a small product which was developed and patented called the "Handler". This steel, powder coated hinge allows you to raise and lower your downspout extensions during routine lawn maintenance. GutterWorks has sold several thousand of these inexpensive but effective hinges all across the U. S. Many seamless gutter installation customers use them on every job. GutterWorks also has many housing developers requesting them for homes when they install rain gutters.

The Handler is designed for conventional downspout extensions up to 5-feet long. Its design allows it to be used in different applications to solve most all of your extension needs and to hold up to the abuse that the extensions are subjected to. It also has a locking tab that keeps the extension in the up position until you want it down.

A hinged downspout extension is a excellent way to remove the water from your gutter system away from your homes' foundation and still give you the convenience of unobstructed lawn maintenance. We recommend that the downspout elbow be installed twelve inches above the sod; this will make for easier grass trimming, and will prevent damaging the elbow and extension with mowing equipment.

Made of .040 steel and coated with a baked on powder coated finish (the toughest paint available)
